Every year everyone in the neighborhood puts out candles to light the way for Santa's sled. It looks so pretty. We have been listening to Santa updates on Daddy's fire radio. When he gets close to Chemung county it is time for bed, I hope I am sleeping before he gets here!

We had a party at school where we sang Christmas carols, ate lots of treats and Santa came to our classroom!

December 11, 2011 - St Lucia

We go to church every year to celebrate St. Lucia and put on a pageant.

I got to be a Tomtar which is a Swedish elf that protects your house.

My job is to sing the TipTop song and hand out candy canes to everyone

Dai got to be a Baker Boy this year

After it is all over we go to the fellowship hall to have snacks and play.

At school I got to visit with Santa. I told him I have really tried to be a good boy and that I would like "guns and weapons" for Christmas.

At the different stations I made different ornaments and presents to give to the people that I love as Christmas presents.

I made this mini Christmas tree all for myself. I got it from Nana Chica and Poppa Moo's Christmas tree farm, put an angel on it that I made in school and decorations from home.

Now that Grandpop is feeling better we can visit him at his house. I took the first book that I made in school (Brown Bear) and read it to him. My new friends Marika and Dali help take good care of him. I have so much fun when I go over to visit.

We stopped at the Bass Pro aquarium on our way to George's house so Mommy could buy some new shoes.

Me, Mommy, Gina, Andie, Mikey, Nin and Uncle Bob all went to Knobles. It was the BEST because they let me go on all the big rides with someone. The most awesome was the flume where we went down a roller coaster then splashed into the water at the bottom. It was sad because Gina wasn't staying with us any more and had to head home :(

I have been waiting since my birthday (March) to do this volcano project outside. Gina helped me build the volcano out of plaster now it is time to let it erupt.

It wasn't that exciting...it didn't even really explode.

We went to the farm and there was all kinds of baby animals. Gina's favorite was the baby goat, she didn't even mind that he got POOP all over her! My favorite was the little kitten that looked like my Duke.

Mommy, Daddy and Gina took me swimming at the falls. Before this I went to see them but this was the first time I got to swim in them!

We met George and Charlotte at the Science Center for another play date. We had lots of fun playing and we got to show Gina all the cool things there.

Nin, Nana, Mommy, Gina and me headed for Camel Beach. We had a ton of fun. The wave pool and the lazy river are my favorites. Nana went down her first water slides!

Day 1- In the car leaving for the airport.

Why do we have to wait so long?

On the air plane

Had lunch with Nana Chica, Aunt Carla and Great Grandma, now on to the hotel.

We stayed at the Caribbean Beach Resort in the Barbados villas. Our room is all decorated in Finding Nemo.

The hotel had lots of pools, beaches and water slides.

After our swim we headed to the T-Rex restaurant, IT WAS AWESOME but Mom forgot the camera!

Day 2- At the Magic Kingdom we met Pluto as soon as we got there. He is one of my favorites.

I'm here at the Disney Castle just like in the movies!

Lots of cool rides and shows.

Finally we are at the Pirate ride!

After we got off the ride Captain Jack Sparrow was there!!! As soon as I saw him I ran up on stage to be and talk to him (even though he was trying to perform).

This is Blackbeard's daughter, Captain Jack Sparrow taught me to flee when I see her!

Why won't this come out?

Maybe if I try another angle?

I joined The Pirates League. They did my make-up like a real pirate

They gave me my pirate name (Edward Stormwater), new pirate gear (bandana, sword, teeth, eye patch) and swore me in.

As a new recruit I got to see the secret treasure room. Captain Jack made us promise not to tell the secret where we got our cursed treasure from so I told him "I stole mine from a dead pirate skeleton!"

I could really use a nap!

Day 3- We went to the Animal Kingdom. We went on this supper cool safari. We saw lots of animals but then we drove through a poachers camp. They had a baby elephant trapped in one of their trucks. When we got back I made sure that I demanded to all of the workers that we go back to save it!!! They called on the radio for the next truck to stop and set it free.

Lunch at the Rainforest Cafe.

We had to cut tonight's swim short because of thunderstorms so I just finished my swim in the tub with my new pirate toys that I bought with me Easter money.

Nana took me to Kool Kids up at CCC again this year. I had so much fun I got to play with baby chicks like mine used to be, a lizard and a snake. I got plants to bring home and add to our garden. My favorite is my new bamboo plant.

We went to play at the Science Center with George and Colleen. We got to do real chemistry experiments! Then we went to lunch and got to exchange our birthday gifts.

Daddy took me today to see these giant, strong horses pull logs right out of the woods. When "max" was done working he was so thirsty he drank a bunch of water that it rained right out of his mouth!

Tonight we took my bike down to the school so I could ride it. We played on the playground for a while. Then I rode my bike all the way to Fair Shake for some ice cream! I can't wait for it to be nice out all the time.

Hailey chased a mouse down to the back porch and behind the wood pile. I need to help her get it! I grabbed my pirate sword and moved the whole wood pile. The mouse runs out and into the garage. I started to look in the garage for it. Daddy helped me make a trap out of dental floss and a carrot dipped in peanut butter.

In the morning something ate the carrot but didn't set the trap.

I was sad because we didn't have any snow on Christmas Eve, so my Uncle D packed up snowballs from where he lives and brought them to Nana's house so we could have a snow ball fight! Uncle D your the best!

This is Brandy and Kayla... Uncle D's girlfriend and daughter.

I liked Nana's turkey, but all of the olives were the best.

We all played games after dinner. Kayla beat everybody at Gnip-Gnop, and Uncle D was the biggest looser at Ker-plunk.

I went to see Santa tonight. I took a picture of me as a Tomte (Sweedish Elf) to give to him. I asked for a race car track, just like the one we got George for Christmas. I am trying really hard to be a good boy.
